I think I’m finally getting into my essay, Patrick Coyle’s (http://www.patrickcoyle.info/) answers were exactly what I needed and I managed to free write for a good 200 words which I hadn’t been able to do yet.

I’m in a crit and I have neck ache. It’s creeping up each vertebrae, across the muscles growing out of my right shoulder and hauling itself across my skull.
Tendrils of tension probe in and out of my brain, never in the same place and indescribable and unlocatable despite the contradiction in my attempt to describe it through writing.

Again I am in a lecture, or rather, an art talk at the R.A.
I feel like I am in a press conference.
We are seated in a grand room, a high tech mic for each speaker, a velvet cloth over the raised table the speakers are reigning from. The speakers are interesting but I am more interested in the crowd.

I’m planning an exhibition based round transformation and gok wan but… What does it matter when I watch the transformation wreaked upon Japan?
Art therapy doesn’t seem so bad a career choice now. I want to help but what can I do in the face of these awe-ing catastrophes?

It’s been a ‘non-teaching week this week’ despite having a full 10-6 day on both Tuesday and Thursday and being in the studio Monday and Wednesday. After all the stress of the V&A I’ve been catching up on my own work and things.
